On June 5, the regular Focus Photo Club
meeting will be replaced with the annual awards
banquet. This is always a lot of fun and a chance
to dress up and have a great meal. The theme
for the Banquet is “Black & White.” The Board
thought it might be fun to dress in those colors,
but it’s not necessary.

The Banquet will be held at Chantrell’s
Banquet Center in Springboro. This is a larger
facility than the Amber Rose where we have
been having the Banquet. Also it’s all on one
floor, which makes it handicapped-accessible and
easier even for those of us who aren’t handi-
capped, especially when we have a lot of things
to carry up the stairs.

The meal will be a buffet. Entrees include
Grilled Herb Chicken and Roll-Up Pork Loin.
Vegetables are Steamed Broccoli and Green
Beans Almondine. Starch dishes are mashed po-
tatoes and rice pilaf. We’ll also have Fresh Gar-
den Salad with a choice of Raspberry Vinaigrette,
Ranch or 1000 Island dressing. Water, tea, and
soft drinks are included in the cost. Since it’s a
buffet, we can sample a little of everything if we
want.

Awards will be given out for the top
seven in each category, culminating in the nam-
ing of the Photographer of the Year.

There will be lots of door prizes, as well
as some items to be raffled off. A slide show will
highlight happenings during the past Club year.
Usually many of those are humorous, so it’s a lot
of fun.
